| since i just about went nuts this time last semester, i decided to take a different approach to studying for finals this semester. i have been preparing and studying my outlines for the last two weeks. while my classmates are struggling through their notes and review sessions to put together their outlines, i am purely tinkering with mine and working on memorizing the main concepts. i've logged in an average of 60 hours a week at the library the last two months (this does not count the hours spent in class or the hours spent at starbucks or even at work). and while my classmates are pulling out their hair, stressing and cramming during dead week in those puke-yellow study rooms courtesy of tjsl... I WILL BE IN VEGAS!!! that's right, boys and girls... instead of going plum mad, i will be relaxing and soaking up some fun in sin city. this is some much deserved r&r, i believe, especially since there has been some serious negative drama in my life recently. plus, the nightmares have begun again... dude, it SUCKS! but... that's all about the change. here's the plan superman: sin city => finals => trip to china => trip to taiwan => back to lalaland and oc => move out of that mutha-f*cking house => move into new apt. preferably close to the beach => work => trip to bay area in august => life as a 2L. WWHHEEEEEEEE!!! light at the end of the tunnel = good shit! peace. | | |

| I know I stated that I wouldn't be posting publicly anymore but, I just wanted to express how blessed I felt over this weekend... this has got to be one of the best birthdays, especially since it fell on the seriously f-ed up... Friday the 13th. Thank you all for your emails, ecards, texts, voicemails and phone calls! I had an awesome weekend in LaLaLand filled with food, wine and good times. Special "Thanks!" to those who fed me, housed me, and entertained me! It was quite a busy weekend, so my apologies to those of you I haven't been able to chat with yet. I promise I will respond soon! Oh, btw... Watch out! I HAVE STITCH PAWS AND A BOTTLE OF VODKA! This Halloween will be interesting... if not, November will definitely be rad. | | |
| So, you wanna know what rhymes with "crack"? Snack attack? Heavy backpack? My friend Shaq? Sharp as a tack? I'm bringing SexyBack? YEP! hahaha... Yes, those all rhyme with "crack". But the one that I want to write about today is... "(F)IRAC"! (sigh) Those who have undergone (or like me, currently undergoing) the lovely experience of law school know what the "crack" I'm referring to. IRAC or FIRAC (as I am being taught these days) stands for Facts, Issue(s), Rule(s), Application, and Conclusion/holding. These are the necessary elements that must be extracted when one briefs a case. So why am I boring you with these details? It has been brought to my attention that I do not sound like me (or Mi) in my last two entries. My reason for this is because my brain is jumbled with the above, and Heaven knows, will only continue to be jumbled with legalese and pretty useless case knowledge, so much so that I do not realize which "voice" I am using when I type up these entries when I should be otherwise studying, creating outlines, briefing cases and working... shit... oh yes, I am still working part-time while in school. ACK! Which brings me to my long standing conclusion that I will no longer be posting... at least not publicly. If you wanna know what's going on in my life, I can be reached by cellphone, email and AIM. Thank you readers! PEACE! | | |
